)but even before I got sucked up into this style business I've had a mental list of Filipino people who I look up to..well to spoil things out I've long been planning to make a list of Filipino people we should be proud of hehe but I'm too lazy..err busy for that hehe 
So here are some of the (personal) most successful Filipino artists in the fashion world:

-Hails from Cebu, this young lady is at par with the world's leading designers, her bags and her wedding couture are something we Filipinos should be proud of..

-One of the quite popular even in the mainstream commercial scene, Rajo's designs are eagerly appreciated by mainstream consumers. I haven't actually seen his work yet, but I've seen that he even collaborated with Red Ribbon to make limited edition cakes! woah talk about creativity. hehe

-Very private in contrast to Rajo, Another designer from Cebu has had his name on the IT list when most of his items where used by high profile celebrities..even The Pitt family cool.

Anna Bayle, Model
-I have long been hearing about a certain Filipina supermodel, and the first Asian supermodel at that, mostly in the net or in the paper. Though it was yeeeaars since she's been into the business but i'm still amazed that the Filipina look was taken up even by YSL. that just rocks. ^^

cool. though I said my journal supposedly was for newFine artist's portfolios, I think they are Fine Artists in their own respects...and I needed to have a brush up on fashion thingies not required by the company but I think I owe it as a meek designer to learn something about what I'm just learning to do as a profession hehe

Anyway, I suggest you should also add Rafe to this list. He is as much respected in the international fashion world as Lhuillier and Cobonpue.
Needless to say, I also think BryanBoy deserves a mention. ehehe. Pero I don't think everyone appreciates him, so no pressure. ehehe.
